Eddy Kenzo nominated for 2018 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

In this red carpet season in Hollywood, The Kid’s Choice Awards that are around the corner have yet recognized one of our own in an international awards ceremony. Eddy Kenzo’s lucky star came shooting and it has never stopped since it’s birth on the entire globe. Nickelodeon on Monday announced the nominees for the 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards, the only live event where kids’ votes count.

Eddy Kenzo was nominated in the category of ‘Favourite African Star’ alongside many other very big and respected  African stars like rapper Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), athlete Caster Semenya (South Africa), singer Davido (Nigeria), comedian Emmanuella (Nigeria), and singer Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania). Although many Ugandans look down on Kenzo for his inability to speak English, he has, without doubt been nominated several times and won more global awards than most if not all musicians in Uganda.

Following a social media rant Bebecool and his fans have had taking rounds on Kenzo’s poor English, he has shut his haters up with this magnificent nomination.

The base fans have not stopped at that but gone on to say “he was recognized by Kids’ choice Awards because he sings for children.” If that’s the case, we actually think it is a beautiful thing that his music can be enjoyed by Kids. This only means one thing; he is diverse across all ages, nations and boarders. We wish you all the best Kenzo.
